• WHAT ARE MICROGREENS? & NUTRITIONAL INFO:

Microgreens are just baby versions of bigger edible plants. Specifically, it is the first stem that sprouts out of a seed that has it's first two leaves on it. Microgreens are superfoods! It typically only takes 1/3 of a cup of microgreens to equal an adult's recommended daily amount of vegetables! So, this is perfect for picky eater who don't like vegetables because they could eat 1/3 of a cup in just 2-3 bites. And if it's added in to cooked food (after pulled out of the oven or the burner turned off). They taste so good, however, that many picky eater actually do like them! We've heard this many times at the farmer's market from our customers.

  • OUR GROW HOUSE

We grow our microgreens in a "grow house" on our property. It is a climate controlled building versus a green house because we need to monitor humidity levels and keep the temperature below 74 degrees at all times. We grow up to 500 trays at a time but they are all on different growing schedules. Growing timeframes range from 1-4 weeks. It's a 12 part process where if just one part goes wrong, the whole tray is lost. Luckily, we know what we're doing so not too much goes wrong for us now!

  • MICROGREEN POWDER

Dehydrated Microgreen Powder is an amazing product! We use a cold dehydration process to remove moisture from the greens while retaining 97% of their nutrients. We then crush the dried greens into a fine powder. One serving is just 1/4of a teaspoon! And that 1/4 tsp is equivalent to a whole day's worth of vegetables. It's perfect for anyone who doesn't like eating vege's, even microgreens (hard to conceive!). Sprinkle into any meal and enjoy the burst of nutrients!
